For every container sold we are removing more carbon from the atmosphere than it took to create it
What is carbon negative packaging?
Every piece of packaging has an impact on our environment because carbon is emitted into our atmosphere during manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation. Our goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations as much as possible and offset any additional carbon emitted by creating a positive environmental impact. To go above and beyond, our goal is to offset any carbon produced by 120%.
Why is this important?
Reducing humanity’s carbon footprint is essential to the future health and wellbeing of our planet and our next generation. Currently, more carbon is being emitted into our atmosphere than our planet can absorb. Science points to this excess carbon build up as the leading cause of climate change. Not only do we need to reduce our carbon footprint, but we need to reverse the built-up carbon in our atmosphere. That is why we pledge to remove 120% of the carbon emitted from the manufacturing and transport of all products we sell.
Is there an additional cost?
No, we absorb any related costs. We feel it is our corporate responsibility to provide packaging to your business that does not have a negative effect on our environment. While no single person or business can solve the problems surrounding the impact carbon emissions have on our environment, we can take responsibility for the products that we sell and do our part to work towards a healthier and more sustainable planet.
How does it work?
We make investments to reduce our own carbon footprint as a company by investing in the latest energy efficient equipment, LED lighting in our warehouse and offices, and recycling programs.
Our goal is to not only reduce our carbon footprint as a company, but to replace 120% of the carbon emitted by the production and transportation of all the products we sell.
To offset the remaining carbon, we fund verified emission-reduction projects through our various partners. These investments support environmental projects, such as protecting forests that improve air quality and absorb carbon, sponsoring wind and solar farms to generate clean energy and replace fossil fuels, and funding reforestation programs.
Together, our efforts produce a negative carbon footprint for not only our company but the products that we sell.
Does this only apply to specific products?
No, we pledge to offset the carbon emissions of all products we sell. However, we do carry a line of products marked as “eco” that have the lowest impact on our environment. These products are made with a high portion of recycled materials and are produced locally, reducing the amount of transportation needed to reach our warehouse. We are also committed to only selling items that are sustainable and 100% recyclable.
